Leiki Targeting is a software engine that provides automatic, real-time profiling of content and users. The software allows end-user features such as product recommendations, content personalisation and targeted advertising. Further it enables detailed analysis of content topics, user interest trends and segmentation. Compared to current personalisation technologies (social filtering and rule-based systems) our unique ontology-based technology takes the accuracy and domain of applicability of automatic personalisation to new levels.
Leiki Targeting supports adaptive personalisation via messaging (SMS, MMS), client-based (Symbian and Java smart phone) implementations and browser interfaces. The technology is multi-lingual and delivers personalised information from any underlying content database. Profiling is based on detailed ontology which can be extended to any specific domain allowing easy integration of new content types.
Embracing the Semantic Web
Leiki is a pioneer in the Semantic Web -technologies. Since year 2000, we have been developing an extensive standards-based ontology and a reasoning engine that is the foundation of our content and user profiling. With over 200 000 hand-crafted concepts and extraction patterns, the software is able to analyse the topics present in textual content and to build a detailed user profile based on actual (rather than stated) user interests.
