Leiki provides patented software technology that automatically targets advertising and personalises content and community services. The functionality is based on the most detailed automatic content analysis and real-time learning of the user's preferences. Leiki's customers include Financial Times, BBC, Sina, Nokia and Sun Microsystems.

History

Leiki Ltd. was founded in June 2000 in Helsinki, Finland. We first demonstrated the succesful application of our ontology-based adaptive personalisation technology with a Reuters news feed in January 2001. In February 2003 we opened our UK office in London.

Leiki has received numerous awards and recognitions for its patented technology, including a title in the Red Herring's Top 100 European technology companies list in 2005, the European ICT Prize in 2007 and Media Innovation of the Year Award in 2008.

Name

Leiki is the imperative form of the Finnish word 'leikkia' which means "participate in playful interaction". With Leiki's learning services, getting what you want is child's play.
